I'm Naked!

Hee hee! Running inside after a nice afternoon in the kiddie pool. Nothing like being naked in the sun.

Sooooo big

Had to post another photo because I wanted to let you know that I am so big I can sit at a chair by myself and reach the table. How cool is that?

Still grumpy but new toys make it better

Got a grocery cart that's loaded with fake food! It is so awesome! I love to push things, and now I can do so safely in the comfort of my own home! No more dirty and dangerous trips to Target to push the cart between Mommy's feet! Yahoo! Feeling better already.

I am grumpy

I have been sick and my teeth hurt so I have not been a happy camper. I only smiled for this picture because 1) there was a banana involved and 2) mommy said daddy's name. Now if only she would let me climb the stairs by myself we might be getting somewhere.

Today was fun!

We went to the children's museum in Boston and saw so much cool stuff! We played with giant soap bubbles and raced golfballs along loop-de-loop tracks. I drove a firetruck and played the steel drums. I climbed a giant sculpture, slid down slides, saw other little kids and ate lunch at little market. I threw up for no reason. And daddy bought me a ladybug ball. What a day, hope to do it again tomorrow.

This is my slide

I am quite expert at sliding. I can go down frontwards regular-style, frontwards no-hands, frontwards on my knees and backwards on my tummy. I can also climb up the slide, much to daddy's delight and mommy's dismay. Unrelated to sliding, but big news nonetheless, I learned how to snap my fingers last night. The parents were pretty impressed, I must say.

Self-feeding shenanigans

I LOVE SOUR CREAM!!!!! Last night, I ate half a bucket of it. All by myself, with my very own spoon. Once I was done eating, I fingerpainted with it all over the counter, my face, my leg and my sock. Mommy was a little sad about it because she had just bathed me. But I was like, "Mommy, c'mon, I have like a million onesies. What's the problem?"

Bearsault

So I learned to do somersaults, did I tell you? It's lots of fun. Daddy has to help me get all the way over sometimes, but sometimes I do pretty good all on my own. Mommy is worried I am going to compress my spinal cord, but Daddy tells her she's being silly. Whatever, I'll let them fight it out, meanwhile, back to somersaulting.

Our day at the museum

Here I am at the swanky (read: overpriced) museum restaurant refusing to eat my lunch. Mommy finally took me out of the house and we went to her school and then to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. We had fun! We saw, among other things, some crazy exhibit consisting of brightly colored chairs split in half with glass-encrusted purses hanging off them nailed to a zebra-striped painted wall. At least they called it art. You kinda had to be there. Anyway, I liked it... I like stripes if you recall.

Dog days of summer

Yep, it's true, summer is nearing an end here and fall is coming soon. In that spirit, mommy thought she would post a couple photos of me enjoying fun in the sun. Before you know it, the shirts will be sleeved, the pants will be long and the hats will be knitted...

Hiya!

Mommy is finally done with her finals so we can go play!!! Thank goodness, it was getting pretty boring around here. I learned to somersault though, so it wasn't all bad.

Mommy is tired

Too tired to post a new photo. So she's posting an old favorite.

I am meanwhile chewing on a headset.

Til we meet again...

I love to love!

I'm a lover! And a hugger! And a smoocher! Oh my gosh, I just love to love the things I love!!! I hug Panka all the time. And Lencsi when she lets me. I met a kitty last night who let me poke her in the eye and slap her on the back. And once, on an airplane, I met a teeny white doggie who liked when I pulled her ears... my shrieks of joy didn't bother her in the least! Of course my favorite objects of affection are mommy and daddy who get kisses, pats, cuddles, nuzzles, raspberries and bearhugs regularly.

Me, recently

Oh my gosh, my shenanigans have kicked into high gear.

I very, very much like to fill up the bidet with water, it's like my own personal sink. Just my height! I run little experiments where I block the drain, float various items in the bowl, etc. etc. I cannot for the life of me figure out why mommy and daddy keep saying "No! No!" about this - and why they always rip me away from my job to wash my hands. It's hard being a scientist.

The other day, my forgetful mama forgot to close the baby gate to the stairs and I was all the way up the stairs by the time daddy got to me. Did it all by myself! I move fast!

Anyway, I have also been falling a lot, getting bumps on the noggin. I guess it's because it's the first few days on the new feet. Doc says this happens and as long as I don't fall from too great a height, I will be just fine.

And I am.

Ciao for now.

Yep

You put it in front of me, I'll climb it.

Me and my bear

Mama thinks I look pretty here, so she wanted me to post this.

See ya!

I am brave

I do lots of brave things. I:

- Slide down my slide all by myself
- Climb up the back of daddy's chair into his lap
- Climb on the play tables at the library
- Walk ten steps in a row with no hands
- Climb out of my crib

Mommy says that most of these aren't so much brave as dangerous, but what does she know?

Doggie hugs - an interlude

Taking a break from my mischief-making to hug Panka.

Later,
Sophie

Daily Hijinx, Part I

I have been extra-specially mischievous today! As of 10:30 a.m., I have:

1. Spilled a box of Nesquik.
2. Unrolled an entire roll of paper towels.
3. Tried to feed myself yogurt and got more on me and the counter than in I got in my mouth.

Check in later to see what develops.

Dirt Connoisseur

Playing in dirt is good. Playing in dirt while wearing white pants is even better. But eating dirt is the best of all. Yum.

Museum

Daddy took me to the museum today so that mommy could study. Didn't really look at too much art, but had fun climbing the steps.

One more thing I did today

Fed myself eggs off a spoon. (NOTE: The sweatband serves no useful purpose in this endeavor, it merely makes my parents laugh.)

First steps

Hooray! I walked yesterday! For real! No accidental steps! No wishful thinking! I really, really, intentionally walked - on three separate occasions! Mom and dad both witnessed it, yay. I walked from daddy to the washing machine, and then from daddy to mommy, aw, how cute. I have no photos of the actual event, so you'll just have to use your imagination and pretend that I walked over to this chair. Toodle-oo!
