Ready for winter

Hello! Here I am in my new winter coat! Ain't it cute? I had to wear it out of the store, even though it wasn't even that cold. I also got a cute little puffy green one and two pairs of snow bibs. Ready for winter fun! Parenthetically, how cool is this giant red BALL? It doesn't roll, it's kind of stuck to the ground, and really heavy, but I very much love it anyway.

Boston day trip with Daddy

Daddy realized we'd been sticking close to home a lot lately, so he decided to change things up and take me on a day trip to Boston. It was fun! We went to the Museum of Fine Arts, saw mommy for lunch, and played in a gigantic fountain/pool thingie. I also got three free samples of gum, which I was quite excited about. All in all, a great day!

OK, so this is really funny

Mommy tried to buy me some chairs for my room on E-bay. And she didn't pay attention to the size comparison in the pictures, so when she got them, we realized they were really, really small. Guess what? I don't care. I'm sittin' in 'em.

Little baby hiker!

I am a hiker! Here I am walking across a board walk in the beautiful Ponemah bog in Amherst.

My house!

Here I am, in front of my house. What a lovely fall day!!!

Obama Schmobama

Daddy and I went to go see Obama in Londonderry, New Hampshire. I think he may have won daddy over. I, for one, was bored.

My weekend, in a nutshell

Went to a petting zoo and took a bath with a balloon. A perfect weekend.

Playground fun

Also went to the Bedford playground last weekend. It was so much fun. I slid down three different slides and climbed things and rode a springy pony and saw other little kids. It was awesome.

Hiking in beautiful NH

I had the best day last Saturday. I went to the Kankamangus highway to see the fall foliage. It was beautiful, all red and yellow. The best part? Floating leaves in the creeks.

First name Sophie, last name Danger

So, alright, I had my first major spill today. Not Emergency Room worthy, thank goodness, but I am bearing some war wounds.
Here's what happened. I love to rock in my rocking chair. I REALLY love it. I ESPECIALLY love when I get it going super fast. This time I got it going so fast that it just catapulted me right out of the seat, throwing me face first onto the floor.
Mommy was worried I broke my little nose, but I didn't. It did get a little swollen, though, and as you can see, it's scratched up pretty good.
Daddy's going to retrofit the chair with some sort of mechanism to make sure this doesn't happen again, because I absolutely must still be able to rock. And don't worry, Grandma, it's not the chair's fault. Not many other little kids could get it rocking as fast as I do.

Went to the park today, yay!

We went to the park in downtown Manchester today, it was so pretty. It was kind of cold, thus the head covering. Mommy had an interview across the street from the park at a big fancy law firm in town. We thought she was going to be hours, but it only took 40 minutes, so she could come back and play with us! That made me happy. I collected chestnuts (if you look closely, you'll see them in my hands). Daddy will probably roast them for us, or maybe make a soup out of them. Here's a nice picture of me and mommy. Bye bye!

So much to say!

It's been so long since we talked! Daddy, the genius that he is, fixed my website so I can continue to let you know what's going on in my life. What's new at 102 Blanford Place? Let's see, I no longer crawl. I mostly run. I have my stable of about 8 words that I say A LOT, including "Thank you" which mommy is most happy about. I am sleeping in my big bed, no more crib. I'm getting much too big for my high chair. I am enjoying testing gravity. I still love my Kisvakond. And the only thing mommy's not too happy about - I just don't have time for food. Oh alright, I always have time for ice cream, but broccoli and squash and chicken and all the things I liked before just will no longer do. Mommy's afraid I'm going to waste away, but I try to tell her I'll eat when I'm hungry, and I will.

Where's Sophie?

Bet you can't find me...
